Evaluation Question 5

How did you attract/addres your audience?

Our thriller holds hte audiences attention by using many different thriller conventions, general film conventions and our own knowledge. Through distinct research in the Film Inductry and looking at many different types of thrillers we manages to put together a thriller that holds out target audence's attetion and other audiences attention.

Our opening holds the attention of the audience because it uses unusual aspects. We decided to use a dog in our thriller as it is something unusual and makes us stand out from other thrillers that are in the thriller community. Our characters are also very distinct. Freddies character portracys a sly personality, people would be more inclned to find out more about him then if the character was boring. They may also want to know more about how the dog will end up and what will hapen to it. People are normally more concerned for he life and wellfare of the animal in a film than the other humans, this may make people more interested.

Another reason why they would be interested in the opening in our thriller is due to the cliffhanger at the end. After the line of my character 'Yeah, It's done.' the audience are left on an unknown to what happens next. This is also a contibuting factor. This also happens in a unique location. Our thriller is located in a park which is nothing but a regualr park. Most morden day thrillers are set in a business building. This makes ours different.

A reason why the audence would want to watch the whole thriller continues from my preivious reason. The cliffhanger would leave us a good starting point to make the real film. People would then be satisfied to see the next part of the film. the character of the dog keeps people interested. As stated before people are usually more interested in the animal welfare than human.
