Unexpected Issue

You would have noticed that I haven't uploaded any posts in a while. This is due to emergency abdominal surgery I had on the 15th Jan. This surgery has caused a major set back to me and my team, neither the less my team at school continue to work hard at the editing without me, but have informed me of what they are doing with the film. They had said about the last part of the opening which we are yet to film, but due to my surgery, this has meant that we can not film this part as i am actually featured in it. As soon as i am given the all clear to be back in school and active we will film, but until then we are forced to look at other angles of the editing and things we can do on our blogs to improve. In the worse case scenario, we may have to change the end of our film slightly so that my team can film without me being in the final part. This is in the extreme case. I apoligise to my team for the sudden emergency. I will shortly be updating my blog to ensure it reaches a high standard.

Postponing Filming

Due to the rain, we had to make a group decision and postpone the filming until this sunday coming. We agreed that the muddy conditions of the park would cause a safety hazard as some of us would be running and there is a possibility we may slip. The equipment was also a concern as it would mean that we would have to find alternate ways to prevent the tripod getting muddy and making sure it would sturdy on the ground.

However, even though we have missed out this filming date, this gave us time to gather other idea we can use in our thriller. During this time, we have gathered things for Freddie's file (fingerprints) and images in the style of a surveillance camera to show the idea of someone following freddie. This also gave us time to adjust the props that we will need for the day.

Christmas Holidays/ Production Meeting

During the Christmas period we did no filming (between the 3rd-5th January like arranged) due to the weather, and all forgetting to stick to the plan of filming a little during the holiday. We have decided to film tomorrow and this was discussed in our last production meeting. We realise that working with animals is not something that most student thrillers include, this is why we have given our plan a lot of thought. We estimated only being able to get through the first story board page (shots 1-11). This is because of the dog, as we do not want her to get bored and we know she will not have a long attention span.

So today we dicussed when we are able to film as a group, we'll be meeting at school at 8.30am. The camera has been collected and we're very prepared to follow our storyboard.
